The Problem
Getting a meeting transcript usually means asking people to install something or remember to hit record. The bot had to join calls on its own from a calendar, handle many meetings running at once, and hand back a clean transcript when the call ended.
What I Built
Meet and Teams
Detects the meeting provider from the URL and joins Google Meet or Microsoft Teams with a stored signed-in browser state.
One Task Per Meeting
Every meeting runs in its own ECS Fargate task, so a stuck call never blocks the others.
Calendar Auto-Join
Upcoming meetings are scheduled through an AWS scheduler and an SQS queue, and the bot joins on time without anyone sending it a link.
In-Call Behaviour
Plays an announcement so attendees know the notetaker joined, and leaves on its own when it's alone in the meeting.
Transcripts and Analysis
Final transcript JSON is stored in S3 and meeting results in PostgreSQL, with OpenAI-based meeting analysis such as action items.
